During an interview with The Telegraph, Phoenix was asked if he shared the concern that Joker "might perversely end up inspiring exactly the kind of people it's about, with potentially tragic results?"
I do see it's brought the retardation out in a lot of people. Sadly I think these people are all actually hoping something happens just for an "I told you so".
This is going to end up being a case of self full filling prophecy.
